Five habits for memorising vocabulary
Preventing forgetting matters more than cramming. These habits help.
1. Spaced repetition
Review a word just before you would forget it. Our flashcards work this way: “Again” brings a card back soon, “Easy” later. Progress is saved in your browser.
2. Learn in sentences
Every word page has example sentences. Read them aloud.
3. See kanji in context
The kanji pages show readings and the N5 words using each kanji.
4. A little every day
10–20 new words a day plus reviews is plenty; too many new words inflates your review load.
5. Use what you learn
Write one or two sentences about yourself with new words. Active use makes memory last.
