敬語 — respectful speech (尊敬語)
お／ご〜になる
Raises the person you are talking about. お + verb stem + になる. Special forms: 食べる→召し上がる, 行く→いらっしゃる, 言う→おっしゃる.
Notes
- Regular: お書きになる, お読みになる
- Special verbs must be memorised
- Used for superiors and customers, never for yourself

社長はもうお帰りになりました。
The president has already gone home.
