V-てはいけない
“You must not…”. て-form + はいけません. Common in rules and signs.
Notes
- Casual: 〜てはだめ / 〜ちゃだめ
- は is pronounced “wa”
- Not the same as 〜なくてもいい (don't have to)

You must not eat in the classroom.
